Way to busy...

I've been way to busy to mind my blog the past few weeks. Things are finally starting to settle down and we're getting back into a pattern. I'm even finding some time for hobbies, though marginally and at the cost of much needed sleep:)

Linsey is nearly back to normal and has accepted that she isn't getting all the attention anymore. She couldn't be more happy with her little brother which does lead to some interesting situation from time to time. We've changed her daily pattern around though, she no longer takes a nap during the day (she wasn't really sleeping anymore anyways) and as a result by 7pm she is exhausted and falls right to sleep. It gives both me and Lily some must needed breathing time.

Blake on the other hand has gotten it into his head that 10pm is an excellent time to start the most active part of the day. Both me and Lily are exhausted and ready for bed around then so his timing couldn't be worse. But usually he agrees around 11pm or 12pm. There still is a middle of the night wakeup call from him which means we still have broken nights but alas.

Blake is also growing pretty darn rapidly, he's already passing the 6kg mark, amazing.

At work we've had some weird weeks this being the winter holiday season combined with all the end of year hassle. Comparing how things are at the office compared to this time last year, I do have to say things are going good. I've had to take loads of time off being a new father, other collegues are or have been on holiday aswell, so its been pretty quiet but we've been coping with the work just great. Sure it means some things aren't going at the pace of non holiday season but that is all part of the game. Still we've got some ways to go with things I'm working on, I hope soon I can round a few of these things off so they become public knowladge, I've been dying to post some details of my work on my blog so family back home can see what I'm up to over here.

Privately I do not do as much programming anymore as I would like to. I have however discovered the iPhone SDK and been using my time at the gym to go through the Stanford Universaty lectures (I love having a iTouch). I'm starting to build some small apps and having fun hooking it up to Omnis and all that sort of jazz. I may do some writeups on certain subjects some day if just to have it as reference for myself.
